This piece is a reflection of consumerism and self-absorption in today’s society. The individual sees herself as reborn through shopping experiences in order to transform herself to be better while constantly being focused on the self. This process is depicted via the dress that is constructed from various fashion label tags, wrapping paper and shopping bags using various collage and mixed media techniques in layers. The color scheme reflects the optimism yet burning desire fueled by endless consumerism to be unique as a member of the society. The self made princess rises as the priced beauty she creates by all consumed pieces as a whole, but at what price?

Each panel is 2x4 feet.

Below you can see the actual size of the paintings as displayed at a residence.
