Artist's Statement:
I rediscovered painting in 1995, upon sheer frustration from work. Looking for a creative outlet, I started experimenting with drawing and painting, which led to studying with Lucy Gaylord, Glenn Hirsch and Pamela Lanza in San Francisco Art Institute and UC Berkeley Extension. I also studied water color and clay mask making at Kollage in Belmont, CA.
Fine arts gave me the chance to express myself and be whimsical, which I could not experience through precision led computing world. It also gave me a chance to play freely and be a social commentator through visual imagery. Some of my pieces try to capture the world as I perceive it and just for the purpose of creating beauty, some try to express the condition of being human in our highly digitized, massively connected, very scrutinized, technical world via story telling.
I participated in joint exhibits in Kollage, SFAI student shows in 2001 and 2008. One of my works which is listed in this site was accepted to the Adobe Technical Summit Art Show in 2011.
Please feel free to explore. This is just a subset of my work, I plan to add them as I can find time.
